Job Title: Hadoop Developer
Location: New York, New York, United States
Salary: $100 Per hour
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Hadoop Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Hadoop-based solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, ETL processes, and a deep understanding of Hadoop ecosystem components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Hadoop-based solutions that meet the business requirements of our clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ingest, cleanse, transform, and load large datasets into Hadoop
- Implement data quality checks and ensure data integrity within the Hadoop environment
- Optimize and tune Hadoop clusters to ensure high performance and scalability
- Monitor and troubleshoot Hadoop jobs and cluster performance issues
- Create and maintain technical documentation for Hadoop projects
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Hadoop technologies and trends to continuously improve our solutions
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Hadoop development
- Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, or Python
- Experience with Hadoop ecosystem components such as HDFS, Hive, Spark, Pig, MapReduce, etc.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
- Proficiency in SQL and database concepts
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based Hadoop services such as AWS EMR, Google Dataproc, or Azure HDInsight
- Certification in Hadoop technologies
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
