Position: Data Warehouse Developer

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $100 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Warehouse Developer to join our team. As a Data Warehouse Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data warehouse infrastructure. You will work closely with our data analysts and business stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs, and translate those requirements into efficient and scalable data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, ETL processes, and database development, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop data warehouse solutions to support business reporting and analytics
• Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Build and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing data validation and cleansing procedures
• Optimize data warehouse performance through indexing, partitioning, and other techniques
• Troubleshoot and resolve data warehouse issues and performance bottlenecks
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data within the data warehouse
• Document data warehouse processes, data flows, and data dictionaries for future reference
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data warehouse technologies and best practices
• Collaborate with the development team to integrate data warehouse solutions with other applications and systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data warehousing and ETL development
• Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts, methodologies, and best practices
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, or Talend
• Proficient in SQL and database development, preferably with experience in Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL
• Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing design principles
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools
