Job Title: IT Network Engineer

Salary: $92 Per hour

Position Overview: As an IT Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's network infrastructure. Your expertise in network technologies and protocols will be essential in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of our network systems. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting any network issues and providing timely solutions to ensure minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain our company's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
• Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise, ensuring maximum uptime and availability.
• Implement and maintain network security protocols to protect our company's data and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions for new projects or system upgrades.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, inventory, and configurations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in network technologies, and make recommendations for improvements to our network infrastructure.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other teams, including the help desk and system administrators, on network-related issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for critical network issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering roles.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and other network equipment.
• Strong understanding of network security protocols, including firewalls, VPN, and intrusion detection systems.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or PRTG.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA are preferred.
