Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement UNIX-based systems to meet the company's requirements
Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure the stability and security of the UNIX environment
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the UNIX systems
Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance
Collaborate with development teams to ensure compatibility and integration of applications with the UNIX environment
Work closely with system administrators to ensure proper configuration and management of the UNIX servers
Develop and maintain documentation for all UNIX-related processes and procedures
Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in the UNIX space and make recommendations for improvement and innovation
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and maintenance

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in UNIX/Linux systems administration
Strong understanding of UNIX-based operating systems and command line interfaces
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM
Proficient in scripting languages like Shell, Perl, or Python
Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios or Zabbix
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
