Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Oracle databases, including schema design, capacity planning, and performance tuning
Monitor database performance and make recommendations for improvements
Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions
Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies for databases
Implement and maintain database security, including access controls and data encryption
Collaborate with development teams to optimize database structures and queries for better performance
Perform database upgrades and migrations
Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and guidelines
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database management

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Engineer or Administrator
Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture and concepts
Experience in database performance tuning and optimization
In-depth understanding of database security and backup/recovery strategies
Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL
Experience with database migration and upgrade processes
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Oracle certifications (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus
