Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled SAS Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing, maintaining, and optimizing SAS databases. As a SAS Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the overall health, performance, and security of SAS databases, ensuring that our clients' data is always available and secure. You will work closely with our development and data analytics teams to ensure that the databases are designed and maintained to support their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure and maintain SAS databases
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
• Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations
• Create and maintain documentation for database processes and procedures
• Optimize database performance by tuning queries and indexes
• Work with development and data analytics teams to design and implement databases that meet their requirements
• Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as database backups, upgrades, and patching
• Identify and implement database improvements and best practices
• Provide technical support to internal teams and clients

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a SAS Database Administrator
• Strong knowledge of SAS software and tools
• Experience in database installation, configuration, and maintenance
• In-depth understanding of database security and compliance
• Proficient in SQL and database tuning
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAS Certified Data Integration Developer or Administrator
• Experience with cloud-based databases
• Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python or R
• Experience with data warehousing and data management processes
• Experience in project management
