Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Sybase Data Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Sybase Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the overall data architecture for our organization. You will work closely with our development team and business stakeholders to ensure that our data systems are efficient, secure, and meet the needs of our growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the data architecture for our organization, including database design, data modeling, data integration, and data governance
• Collaborate with our development team to design and implement database solutions that support our business goals and objectives
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide guidance on how to best utilize our data systems
• Identify opportunities for data consolidation and optimization, and implement solutions to improve data quality and performance
• Create and maintain data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data integrity and security
• Perform regular audits and monitoring of our data systems to identify and resolve any issues or vulnerabilities
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data management to continuously improve our data architecture and processes
• Mentor and train junior data team members on best practices and techniques for data architecture and management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sybase Data Architect or a similar role
• Strong experience in data architecture design and implementation, including database design, data modeling, and data integration
• Extensive knowledge of Sybase database management systems, including Sybase ASE and Sybase IQ
• Proficiency in SQL and other database query languages
• Experience with data governance and compliance, including knowledge of GDPR and other data privacy regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex data issues
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proven track record of successfully delivering data architecture projects on time and within budget
• Relevant certifications, such as Sybase Certified Professional, are highly preferred.
