Salary: $190000 - $224000

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our VMware-based cloud infrastructure. As a VMware Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our cloud environment. You will also work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure that our cloud infrastructure supports the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain VMware-based cloud infrastructure, including vSphere, vCenter, and vRealize Suite.
• Manage and troubleshoot issues related to the VMware environment, including performance, capacity, and availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement infrastructure solutions that align with business objectives.
• Perform regular maintenance and patching of VMware infrastructure to ensure security and stability.
• Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements to enhance performance and scalability.
• Conduct disaster recovery tests and ensure that the environment is configured for optimal failover and recovery.
• Work with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance our VMware environment.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for VMware technologies and provide technical guidance and support to other teams within the organization.
• Create and maintain documentation for the VMware infrastructure, including standard operating procedures and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining VMware-based cloud infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of VMware products, including vSphere, vCenter, and vRealize Suite.
• Experience with automation and orchestration tools, such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Solid understanding of networking and storage concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
