Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain our data infrastructure, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses
Lead the design and implementation of data architecture that supports our business needs and objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and design solutions that meet those needs
Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data governance and data management best practices
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data engineering to continuously improve our data infrastructure
Mentor and guide junior data engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge
Identify and troubleshoot issues related to data integration, transformation, and storage
Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models for data-driven solutions
Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights through data analysis and visualization

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Strong experience in data architecture design and implementation
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or DataStage
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services (e.g. S3, Redshift, BigQuery)
Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Python, Java, or Scala
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
