Position: Manual Tester
Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Salary: $95000 - $112000
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manual Tester to join our team. As a Manual Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. You will work closely with the development team to understand the requirements and design test cases to validate the functionality and performance of the software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the development team to understand the requirements and design test cases.
- Execute manual test cases to identify defects and report them in a detailed and organized manner.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that defects are fixed and new features do not impact existing functionality.
- Verify data integrity by performing database testing.
- Perform functional, integration, and system testing to ensure the software meets the specified requirements.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using a bug tracking system.
- Work with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss testing progress and provide updates on any issues or concerns.
- Continuously improve and update test cases and testing processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in software testing methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in manual testing.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle and methodologies.
- Proficient in writing test cases and test scripts.
- Experience with bug tracking systems and test management tools.
- Familiarity with SQL and database testing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Passion for software testing and delivering high-quality products.
