Responsibilities:

Design and implement highly available and scalable cloud-based solutions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and identify business needs

Lead the design and development of cloud infrastructure and services

Develop automated deployment processes and monitor the health and performance of cloud services

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services

Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards

Mentor and coach junior engineers on cloud technologies and best practices

Stay updated on the latest cloud technologies and make recommendations for adoption

Participate in planning and budgeting for cloud infrastructure and services

Work closely with DevOps and software development teams to ensure smooth integration of applications with cloud services

Collaborate with third-party vendors to evaluate and implement new cloud solutions

Create documentation and provide training to other team members on cloud infrastructure and services

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

Extensive experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

In-depth knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates

Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience with configuring virtual networks in the cloud

Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Go

Experience with containerization and container orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes

Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or ELK stack

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

AWS or Azure certification is a plus.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Principal Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a Principal Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions to support our business needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, identify business needs, and design solutions that are highly available, scalable, and cost-effective.

The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in cloud engineering and a proven track record of designing and implementing complex cloud solutions. You should have experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and be proficient in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
