Job Title: Applied Scientist

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $100 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Applied Scientist to join our dynamic research team. As an Applied Scientist, you will play a critical role in developing cutting-edge solutions and advancing our company's scientific capabilities. This role requires a strong background in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling, as well as a passion for solving complex problems and driving innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and opportunities, and develop data-driven solutions to address them.
• Conduct research and build predictive models using various machine learning techniques to solve complex problems in areas such as natural language processing, computer vision, and recommendation systems.
• Analyze and interpret large and complex data sets to identify patterns and insights that will inform business decisions.
• Develop and implement algorithms and statistical models to improve the accuracy and performance of our products and services.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in machine learning and data science and apply them to our research projects.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Mentor and collaborate with junior team members to help them grow their skills and contribute to the success of our projects.

Qualifications:

• A PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field with a focus on machine learning or data science.
• At least 3 years of experience in a research or applied role, preferably in a technology company.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java, and experience working with big data tools and frameworks such as Hadoop and Spark.
• Extensive knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques such as deep learning, reinforcement learning, and Bayesian methods.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions.
• Experience with data visualization and storytelling techniques to effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• A strong publication record and experience presenting at conferences is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
