Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Data Governance Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance and management, with a proven track record of implementing and maintaining effective data governance processes and policies. As a Data Governance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and security of our organization's data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the integrity and quality of data across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess data governance risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular data quality checks and audits to identify and resolve data issues.
• Monitor data usage and access to ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulations.
• Develop and maintain a data governance framework, including data classification, data ownership, and data retention policies.
• Provide guidance and support to business users on data governance best practices and processes.
• Participate in data governance committees and working groups to drive continuous improvement and alignment with industry standards.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data governance practices to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance or data management roles.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, policies, and procedures.
• Extensive experience with data analysis and data quality tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve data issues.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with data governance frameworks, such as DAMA, is a plus.
