About the Role: As a Senior Data Pipeline Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that will enable our company to analyze large volumes of data, extract insights, and make data-driven decisions. You will work closely with our data science and business intelligence teams to understand their data needs and develop efficient data pipelines to support their projects. This is a highly technical role that requires a strong understanding of data architecture, database design, and programming skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines to support various data-driven applications and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs.
• Develop and maintain data warehouse architecture and data models to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of data to end-users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues, identifying root causes and implementing permanent solutions.
• Identify and implement data quality checks to ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines, data models, and processes.
• Stay updated with the latest data pipeline technologies and trends and make recommendations for improvements to our existing data infrastructure.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data engineers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a focus on data pipeline development and maintenance.
• Strong experience with ETL tools and techniques, such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
• Extensive experience with SQL and database design, with a good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Scala, etc.) and experience with data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy, etc.).
• Experience with data warehouse technologies like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
• Good understanding of data modeling concepts and data architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Data Management Professional) are a plus.
