About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. As the Lead Data Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our data infrastructure, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our data systems. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of data engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support our data-driven decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of data engineers to design, develop, and maintain our data infrastructure, including data pipelines, databases, and data warehouses.
• Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of our data.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and systems to identify and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand their data needs and optimize data structures and processes to support their work.
• Develop and maintain data quality standards and implement tools and processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data engineering and operations, and provide recommendations for improvements to our data infrastructure.
• Lead and participate in data architecture discussions and make recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
• Mentor and coach junior members of the data operations team, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop their skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or data operations roles.
• Strong experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Proficient in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Java.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
