Position: Principal Cloud AI Engineer

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $320000 - $360000

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Cloud AI Engineer to join our dynamic team. As the Principal Cloud AI Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our cloud-based artificial intelligence solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge AI applications that will drive innovation and enhance our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop cloud-based AI solutions that address complex business problems and enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead the end-to-end development process, from concept to deployment, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers, to gather requirements and define project scope.
• Utilize your expertise in machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics to build robust AI models and algorithms.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and cloud technologies, and incorporate them into our solutions.
• Develop and maintain best practices, standards, and guidelines for AI development on the cloud platform.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and contribute to their professional growth.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in developing AI solutions on the cloud.
• Strong experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and their AI services.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with AI libraries and frameworks, such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch.
• Extensive knowledge of machine learning techniques, such as deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Proven track record of delivering complex AI projects on time and within budget.
• Experience in leading and mentoring a team of AI engineers is highly desirable.
