Job Title: Junior Performance Test Engineer

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $69 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior Performance Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of our software applications. Working closely with the development and quality assurance teams, you will utilize your technical skills to design and execute performance tests, analyze results, and identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop performance test plans and strategies based on project requirements and business needs
• Execute performance tests using various tools and techniques, including load testing, stress testing, and volume testing
• Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and performance issues
• Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve performance problems
• Create comprehensive test reports and provide recommendations for performance optimization
• Continuously research and implement best practices and new tools for performance testing
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on performance-related issues
• Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that performance test cases are integrated into the overall testing process
• Communicate test results and progress to project stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in performance testing or software development
• Strong knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques
• Experience with load testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling
• Knowledge of application servers, databases, and web services
• Understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
• Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in performance testing
