Job Title: Principal Data Architect

Salary: $270000 - $310000

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Data Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Principal Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's data architecture. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of our data systems, as well as providing strategic guidance for future data initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data architecture strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives
• Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and propose solutions that meet business needs
• Evaluate and select appropriate data management tools and technologies
• Oversee the implementation and integration of data management systems and processes
• Ensure data security and compliance with data privacy regulations
• Monitor data performance and make recommendations for optimization
• Provide technical guidance to data engineers and other team members
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data architecture and make recommendations for improvement
• Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures
• Train and mentor team members on data architecture best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3 years in a senior or principal role
• Extensive knowledge of data management and architecture principles, methodologies, and tools
• Strong experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration
• Proficiency in SQL and data querying languages
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Prior experience in a fast-paced and agile environment
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale data projects
• Experience in data governance and data security is a plus
