Position Title: Security Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Specialist to join our team. As a Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the security of our organization and protecting our assets. Your main responsibilities will involve developing and implementing security protocols, monitoring and evaluating security risks, and providing recommendations for improving our security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and security of our organization and its assets.
• Monitor and evaluate security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities, and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify any potential vulnerabilities and make necessary improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security requirements and implement appropriate solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our security measures.
• Respond to security incidents and conduct investigations to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the organization's ability to respond to security incidents.
• Manage and maintain security systems, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, access control systems, etc.
• Train employees on security protocols and procedures to ensure compliance and raise security awareness.
• Conduct security awareness campaigns to educate employees on potential security risks and how to prevent them.
• Prepare and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Provide on-call support for critical security incidents.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Security Specialist or a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of security protocols, technologies, and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Relevant security certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
• Experience with security systems, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, access control systems, etc.
• Experience in conducting security audits and assessments.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, etc.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
