Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Database Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Lead Database Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our company's databases. You will work closely with the development team and project managers to ensure that our databases are efficient, secure, and meet the needs of our organization. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and implement database solutions that meet business requirements and industry standards
• Lead and mentor a team of database developers, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks and career growth
• Develop and maintain database structures and schemas, ensuring data integrity and security
• Optimize database performance by conducting regular monitoring and troubleshooting activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
• Design and implement data backup and recovery processes to ensure data availability and disaster recovery
• Stay updated on emerging database technologies and trends, and make recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation
• Write and maintain technical documentation, including database design documents, data flow diagrams, and user guides
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to coding standards
• Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of database-related tasks and projects
• Participate in on-call support for database-related issues and emergencies, as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in database development, with at least 2 years in a lead/managerial role
• Strong expertise in SQL and database design principles
• Experience with database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.
• Knowledge of database security and data encryption best practices
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of database developers
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus
• Certifications in database technologies are a plus
