Job Title: Penetration Testing Specialist

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $92 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Penetration Testing Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Penetration Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats in our organization's systems and networks. You will work closely with our IT team to assess and improve our security protocols and ensure the protection of our sensitive data. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ethical hacking methodologies and be able to think like a hacker to anticipate and prevent potential cyberattacks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough and accurate penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on our systems and networks using a variety of tools and techniques.
• Identify and exploit vulnerabilities in our organization's infrastructure, applications, and systems.
• Develop and implement effective strategies to mitigate potential risks and strengthen our security posture.
• Analyze and interpret security assessment findings, and provide recommendations for remediation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security controls and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats to continually improve our security protocols.
• Educate and train employees on best practices for preventing cyber threats.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation of security assessments and findings for management and IT teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
• Strong knowledge of ethical hacking methodologies and tools such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, and Burp Suite.
• Experience with network and web application penetration testing.
• Knowledge of common vulnerabilities and exploits, and ability to identify and exploit them.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP, NIST, and CIS.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, or GPEN are a plus.
