We are currently seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to join our dynamic team and help us ensure the security and integrity of our applications.

Job Overview: As an Application Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security of our applications. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to identify and mitigate potential security threats and vulnerabilities. You will also be responsible for conducting security assessments, performing code reviews, and implementing security best practices to ensure the highest level of protection for our applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the development team to create secure designs for new applications and features
• Conduct security reviews and risk assessments of new and existing applications
• Perform code reviews to identify and remediate potential security vulnerabilities
• Develop and implement security controls and best practices for our applications
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential security threats and vulnerabilities
• Partner with the operations team to ensure secure deployment and configuration of applications
• Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to identify potential security incidents
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and vulnerabilities to continuously improve our security posture
• Provide guidance and training to the development team on secure coding practices
• Participate in the incident response process and assist with remediation efforts when necessary

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in application security or related field
• Extensive knowledge of common application security vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques
• Experience performing code reviews and security assessments
• Strong understanding of web application architecture and development frameworks
• Working knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, Ruby) and SQL
• Familiarity with security tools such as SAST, DAST, and WAF
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CSSLP are a plus
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
