Job Overview: We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced Principal Software Performance Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Principal Software Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall performance and scalability of our software solutions. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement performance testing strategies and solutions. Your primary goal will be to identify and resolve performance issues to ensure our software meets the highest standards of performance and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the performance testing strategy for our software solutions, including defining performance metrics, identifying performance bottlenecks, and conducting performance tests.
• Collaborate with the development team to design and implement performance tests and identify potential performance issues.
• Develop and maintain automated performance testing scripts and frameworks to ensure efficient and accurate performance testing.
• Analyze and interpret performance test results to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to enhance software performance.
• Work closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in performance testing tools and techniques, and make recommendations for their implementation.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior performance engineers, helping them develop their skills and achieve their full potential.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software performance engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing performance testing strategies for complex software systems.
• Extensive experience with performance testing tools, such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and Gatling.
• Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
• Experience with performance monitoring and analysis tools, such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or New Relic.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex performance issues.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
