Job Title: Principal Software Deployment Engineer

Salary: $138 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Software Deployment Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the deployment of our software products and solutions across various platforms. You will work closely with our development, operations, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth and efficient deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain deployment strategies and processes for our software products, including automated and manual deployment methods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and devise deployment plans accordingly.
• Create and maintain documentation for deployment processes and procedures.
• Identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the deployment process.
• Monitor and track the progress of deployments, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve and optimize deployment processes to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to software deployment.
• Mentor and train junior deployment engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software deployment, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and deployment methodologies.
• Proficient in scripting and automation tools such as Python, Bash, and Ansible.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
