Position: Senior Cloud Reliability Engineer

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $107 Per hour

Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Cloud Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Senior Cloud Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of our cloud-based systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain highly scalable and resilient cloud solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cloud technologies, a passion for automation and monitoring, and a proven track record of delivering reliable and high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust and scalable cloud solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to industry best practices
• Monitor and maintain the reliability and availability of our cloud-based systems and services, proactively identifying and addressing any issues that may arise
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure that our systems are built with reliability and scalability in mind
• Automate and document processes for deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of cloud infrastructure
• Perform regular performance and capacity analysis to identify potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement
• Continuously improve our cloud infrastructure and processes, leveraging the latest tools and technologies
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents in a timely manner
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based systems and infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Go, etc.)
• Extensive experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong understanding of networking and security principles in a cloud environment
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, agile environment
