Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Security Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Application Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our company's applications. You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential security threats, implementing best practices, and maintaining a strong security posture for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement application security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the protection of sensitive information and data.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for remediation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to developers on secure coding practices.
• Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to identify and respond to potential security incidents.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats to ensure the continuous improvement of our security posture.
• Lead security training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security awareness.
• Manage the implementation and maintenance of security tools and technologies to enhance our security capabilities.
• Act as a subject matter expert on application security and provide guidance and support to other teams within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in application security, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of web application security, including OWASP Top 10, SQL injection, cross-site scripting, etc.
• Experience with security tools such as Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and Static Application Security Testing (SAST).
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and ability to review code for potential vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies and experience integrating security into these processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or GIAC are preferred.
