Salary: $114000 - $144000

Lobox is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Junior Cyber Defense Engineer. In this role, you will work alongside our experienced cyber defense team to protect our network and systems from cyber threats and attacks. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and gain hands-on experience in the rapidly growing field of cyber defense.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify potential security breaches or threats
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our systems and make recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with the team to develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber threats and trends to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks
• Work with cross-functional teams to respond to and resolve security incidents in a timely manner
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security tools and technologies
• Participate in security audits and provide recommendations for remediation
• Document all security incidents, investigations, and resolutions for future reference
• Provide training and support to employees on security awareness and best practices
• Stay current on industry standards and regulations related to cyber defense and make sure the company is compliant

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in cyber defense or information security
• Knowledge of network security protocols and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and virtual private networks
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and antivirus software
• Understanding of cyber threats and vulnerabilities, as well as methods for identifying and mitigating them
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Certifications in cybersecurity, such as CompTIA Security+ or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), are a plus
