Salary: $270000 - $310000

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Virtualization Specialist to join our dynamic team. As the Principal Virtualization Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing virtualization solutions for our organization. You will provide technical expertise and guidance in the planning, development, and maintenance of our virtualization environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in virtualization technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team of virtualization specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of our virtualization infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain virtualization standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide virtualization solutions to meet those needs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior virtualization specialists.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to virtualization technologies.
• Monitor virtualization performance and capacity, and make recommendations for optimization.
• Continuously evaluate emerging virtualization technologies and make recommendations for their implementation.
• Develop and maintain documentation for virtualization systems, processes, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements within the virtualization environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in virtualization technologies, with at least 3 years in a senior or principal role.
• Expertise in virtualization platforms such as VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Citrix XenServer.
• Strong understanding of networking and storage concepts in a virtualization environment.
• Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing complex virtualization solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of virtualization specialists.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
