Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Cloud Security Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Principal Cloud Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud-based systems and applications. Your expertise in cloud security and risk management will be crucial in protecting our company's data and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud security and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cloud security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect our cloud-based systems and applications
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks
• Design and implement security controls and measures to mitigate identified risks
• Monitor and analyze security events and incidents in the cloud environment, and respond to potential threats in a timely manner
• Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure security is integrated into the development and deployment processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR and HIPAA
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud security trends and technologies, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
• Mentor and train junior cloud security team members on best practices and procedures
• Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud security, providing guidance and support to various teams within the organization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud security, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior role
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
• Experience with security frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards, such as GDPR and HIPAA
• Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanning tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), are a plus
