Job Title: Principal Data Solutions Architect

Salary: $135 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Principal Data Solutions Architect to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Principal Data Solutions Architect, you will play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction and development of our data solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performing, and secure data architecture solutions that meet the evolving needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of data architecture solutions that align with business goals and objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Develop data models, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams to communicate the architecture and design to stakeholders
• Define and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and privacy
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance data management and analytics capabilities
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data architecture, analytics, and big data technologies
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members, including data engineers and analysts
• Conduct regular performance reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in data architecture and processes
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of data solutions and provide regular updates on project status and risks
• Act as a subject matter expert and provide thought leadership on data architecture and data management strategy
• Identify and resolve technical issues and roadblocks in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of data solutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related role
• Proven experience in designing and implementing data architecture solutions using cloud-based technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Strong understanding of big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and data warehousing concepts (e.g. ETL, data modeling)
• Experience with data governance, data security, and data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA)
• Proficient in SQL and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of data professionals
• Proven track record of delivering data solutions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer) are a plus.
