Job Overview: As the Principal Data Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading our data engineering team and overseeing the development and maintenance of our data infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage data solutions that support our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, proven leadership skills, and a passion for building scalable and efficient data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of data engineers and provide technical guidance and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and design data solutions that align with company goals
• Develop and maintain data infrastructure that supports data ingestion, storage, processing, and retrieval
• Define and implement best practices for data management, data quality, and data security
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability
• Identify and resolve data-related issues and provide technical support to data engineers and other team members
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data engineering and recommend new tools and technologies to improve data processes
• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure timely and successful delivery of data solutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Extensive experience with cloud-based data technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Proven experience in designing and implementing data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL pipelines
• Solid understanding of database design, data modeling, and data governance principles
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
