Job description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Autonomous Vehicle Engineer to join our dynamic team. As the Lead Autonomous Vehicle Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing cutting-edge autonomous vehicle technology. You will also be responsible for leading a team of engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of autonomous vehicle projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of engineers to design, develop, and test autonomous vehicle technology
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, and systems engineers) to ensure the successful integration of autonomous vehicle technology
• Design and develop algorithms for perception, localization, planning, and control of autonomous vehicles
• Develop and maintain simulation tools for testing and validation of autonomous vehicle technology
• Analyze and interpret data from various sensors and implement algorithms to improve system performance
• Collaborate with external partners and vendors to identify and integrate new technologies into the autonomous vehicle system
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of autonomous vehicle technology, both in simulation and on-road
• Lead the development of technical documentation and presentations to communicate progress and results to stakeholders
• Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in autonomous vehicle technology and make recommendations for its implementation in future projects
• Mentor and train junior engineers on autonomous vehicle technology and best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in autonomous vehicle technology development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong understanding of autonomous vehicle systems, including perception, localization, planning, and control
• Proficient in programming languages such as C++, Python, and ROS
• Experience with simulation tools such as CARLA, Gazebo, or V-REP
• In-depth knowledge of sensor fusion, object detection, and tracking algorithms
• Experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, Keras)
• Familiarity with automotive systems and safety standards (ISO 26262, ASIL)
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
• Passion for autonomous vehicle technology and a drive to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field
