Job Description: Lobox is seeking a highly qualified Data Governance Specialist Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our organization's data. As the Data Governance Specialist Lead, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our data assets to support business operations and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a data governance framework and strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify critical data elements and define data ownership, policies, and procedures.
• Establish data standards, definitions, and quality metrics to ensure data integrity and consistency across the organization.
• Lead the implementation of data governance initiatives, including data quality improvement, data classification, and data lifecycle management.
• Develop and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and guidelines, and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Monitor and report on data governance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide guidance and support to business units in understanding and adhering to data governance policies and procedures.
• Conduct data governance training and awareness programs to promote a data-driven culture within the organization.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement data governance tools and technologies, and ensure data security and confidentiality.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data governance, and make recommendations for improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, practices, and methodologies.
• Experience in developing and implementing data governance strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA, and their implications on data governance.
• Knowledge of data governance tools and technologies, such as data cataloging and data quality tools.
• Familiarity with data management concepts, such as data warehousing, data modeling, and data integration.
