Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Security Specialist Lead to join our team. As the Application Security Specialist Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the security of all applications within our organization. You will work closely with our development teams to ensure that all applications are secure and adhere to industry best practices. This is a hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of application security, along with strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain application security policies and procedures
• Conduct regular security assessments of all applications
• Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in applications
• Work with development teams to implement secure coding practices
• Conduct security training for developers and other team members
• Monitor and respond to security incidents
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and threats
• Act as a subject matter expert on application security for the organization
• Lead a team of application security specialists and provide mentorship and guidance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all stages of the development process
• Participate in the design and architecture of new applications to ensure security is built-in from the start

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in application security
• Extensive knowledge of application security best practices and standards, such as OWASP Top 10
• Experience with security tools such as SAST, DAST, and SCA
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and common vulnerabilities in web and mobile applications
• Familiarity with cloud security concepts and technologies
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), are a plus.
