Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the company's databases, including data integrity, security, and performance.
Lead a team of database administrators, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
Develop and implement database policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
Monitor and analyze database performance, identifying and resolving any issues or bottlenecks.
Collaborate with other departments to understand their data needs and ensure that the databases are meeting their requirements.
Design and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure the availability and integrity of data.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for all databases.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database technology, making recommendations for improvement or new implementations.
Troubleshoot and resolve any database-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Communicate effectively with team members and management, providing regular updates on database operations and performance.
Manage and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of database management systems, including SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
Experience with database design, implementation, and maintenance.
Proficient in database performance tuning and optimization.
Familiarity with disaster recovery and backup strategies.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proven leadership and management skills.
