Position: Big Data Junior Software Engineer

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $92 Per hour

About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Big Data Junior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of our big data systems and applications. This role requires a strong understanding of big data technologies and programming languages, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain big data systems and applications
• Collaborate with team members to identify and implement solutions for data-related challenges
• Analyze and optimize data pipelines for performance and efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with data processing or storage
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in big data and make recommendations for their implementation
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for all systems and applications
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to team members
• Continuously improve the quality and reliability of our big data systems and applications
• Support the integration of new data sources into existing systems
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and Scala
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies
• Knowledge of data management and governance best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience in a similar role or internship is a plus
