Position: Big Data Solutions Architect

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $138 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Big Data Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Big Data Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data solutions that meet the needs of our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify data sources, and design solutions that can handle complex data sets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable and efficient Big Data solutions using various tools and technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
• Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Identify and evaluate data sources to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Create data models and data architecture that align with business goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to develop data pipelines and analytics solutions.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data solutions for maximum efficiency and scalability.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data solutions, including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and technical specifications.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Big Data technologies and make recommendations for process improvements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing Big Data solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of Big Data tools and technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with data modeling and data architecture design.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Proven experience in performance tuning and optimization of Big Data solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Certifications in Big Data technologies are a plus.
