Overview: As an Edge Computing Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing cutting-edge edge computing solutions for our organization. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the architecture of our edge computing infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and scalability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop edge computing architecture, including hardware and software components, for our organization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs
• Evaluate and select appropriate edge computing technologies and tools to meet business needs
• Develop and maintain documentation for edge computing architecture and processes
• Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of the edge computing infrastructure
• Monitor and troubleshoot any issues with the edge computing environment
• Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancements to the edge computing architecture
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in edge computing technologies and make recommendations for their adoption
• Provide guidance and support to development teams on best practices for developing applications for the edge computing environment
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure the smooth functioning of the edge computing infrastructure
• Train and mentor team members on edge computing architecture and processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing edge computing solutions
• Strong knowledge of edge computing technologies, including hardware, software, and networking
• Experience with edge computing platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) Greengrass or Microsoft Azure IoT Edge
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
• Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience with security protocols and practices for edge computing environments
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, are a plus.
