Salary: $138 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Migration Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Database Migration Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the migration of databases from one system to another, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition. This role requires a strong understanding of database management, data migration processes, and project management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex database migrations and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute database migration plans, including timelines, resources, and budget
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize databases for migration
• Conduct thorough analysis of existing databases to determine data compatibility and potential risks
• Develop and implement strategies for data cleansing, mapping, and transformation to ensure data accuracy and integrity during migration
• Coordinate with IT teams to ensure hardware and software compatibility for new database systems
• Manage and monitor data migration process, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolution
• Develop and maintain migration documentation and standard operating procedures
• Ensure compliance with data protection and security policies throughout the migration process
• Communicate updates and progress to stakeholders, including senior management
• Provide training and support to end-users on new database systems
• Continuously evaluate and improve database migration processes and procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in database management and data migration
• Strong knowledge of database concepts and SQL
• Proven experience in managing complex database migration projects
• Proficient in project management methodologies and tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience with cloud-based databases and data warehousing is preferred
