Salary: $285000 - $352000

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Architect to join our dynamic team. As the Data Governance Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data governance strategies and frameworks to ensure the integrity, availability, and security of our organization's data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data governance policies, standards, and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, data governance, and enterprise architecture, with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data governance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define data governance requirements and standards.
• Design and implement data governance frameworks, processes, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate data governance processes and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
• Communicate data governance policies and procedures to stakeholders across the organization, ensuring understanding and compliance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on data governance, providing guidance and support to teams across the organization.
• Develop and maintain data governance documentation, including data dictionaries, data lineage, and data quality guidelines.
• Conduct regular audits of data governance processes and procedures to ensure compliance and identify potential risks.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement data governance tools and technologies to support data management and data quality initiatives.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data governance, recommending and implementing improvements to existing processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data management, data governance, or enterprise architecture.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
• Experience designing and implementing data governance strategies and frameworks.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to data governance (e.g. GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
• Familiarity with data management tools and technologies, such as data warehouses, data lakes, and data governance platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Certifications in data management, data governance, or enterprise architecture (e.g. DAMA CDMP, TOGAF) are a plus.
