About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Lake Specialist Lead to join our dynamic team. As the Data Lake Specialist Lead, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our organization's data lake infrastructure. In this role, you will oversee a team of data engineers and analysts to ensure the efficient and effective management of our data lake. You will also collaborate closely with other departments to understand and meet their data needs, as well as stay updated on the latest data technologies and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of data engineers and analysts to ensure the smooth operation of our data lake infrastructure.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of data lake systems and processes.
• Evaluate and optimize the performance of data lake systems to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
• Stay updated on the latest data technologies and practices, and implement them where applicable.
• Create and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of our data.
• Monitor data quality and implement strategies to improve data accuracy and completeness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or anomalies within the data lake.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to data lake infrastructure, processes, and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a similar role.
• Proven experience in managing and optimizing data lake infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of data lake concepts and architecture.
• Proficient in SQL and other programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
• Experience with cloud-based data lake platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
