Salary: $310000 - $360000

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Monitoring Consultant Lead to join our dynamic team. As the Lead Consultant, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the overall monitoring strategy for our systems, ensuring their availability, performance, and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and analyze business requirements, design and implement monitoring solutions, and provide ongoing support and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive monitoring strategy for all systems, including servers, applications, networks, and databases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into monitoring requirements.
• Design and implement monitoring solutions using a variety of tools and technologies, such as APM, NPM, SNMP, and custom scripts.
• Create dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide real-time visibility into the health and performance of systems.
• Monitor and analyze system logs, metrics, and event data to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Mentor and guide a team of monitoring consultants, providing technical leadership and support.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in monitoring and make recommendations for process improvements.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on the status of monitoring initiatives.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline monitoring processes and reduce manual effort.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a systems monitoring role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring tools and technologies, such as SolarWinds, Dynatrace, New Relic, and Zabbix.
• Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, Perl, or PowerShell, to automate monitoring tasks.
• Thorough understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, and DNS.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their respective monitoring tools.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing monitoring solutions in complex and diverse environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Certifications in monitoring tools and technologies, such as SolarWinds Certified Professional, Dynatrace Certified Associate, or New Relic Certified Performance Pro, are a plus.
