Salary: $310000 - $360000

Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Specialist to join our dynamic and fast-growing team. As a Backend Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side components of our software applications. Your expertise in backend technologies and systems will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement backend systems and features for our software applications, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, designers, and project managers to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices and design patterns.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner, and provide effective solutions to technical problems.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality and consistency across the team.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest backend technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for improvement and implementation.
• Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure efficient deployment and maintenance of backend systems.
• Proactively identify and address potential security vulnerabilities and implement necessary security measures.
• Participate in the development and implementation of software development processes and standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, and continuously strive for professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development, with a strong understanding of server-side languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby.
• Proficiency in database design and management, with experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of web services and APIs, and experience in building and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
