Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $69 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly talented and creative Storyboard Artist to join our team. As a Storyboard Artist, you will be responsible for creating visual representations of scenes and shots for our various projects, including films, TV shows, commercials, and animations. Your primary role will be to translate scripts and ideas into dynamic and engaging illustrations that capture the essence of the story and convey the director's vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the director and other team members to understand the overall creative vision and style of the project.
• Read and analyze scripts to determine the key scenes and shots that need to be storyboarded.
• Create rough sketches and storyboards that effectively communicate the story, characters, and action.
• Incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions to the storyboards to ensure that they align with the director's vision.
• Work closely with the layout and animation teams to ensure that the storyboards are accurately translated into the final product.
• Maintain a consistent and cohesive visual style throughout the project.
• Meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications:

• A strong portfolio showcasing your previous storyboard work.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Storyboard Artist in the entertainment industry.
• Excellent drawing and illustration skills, with a keen eye for detail and composition.
• Proficiency in digital drawing and storyboarding software such as Adobe Photoshop, Toon Boom Storyboard Pro, or TVPaint.
• Solid understanding of cinematography, composition, and camera angles.
• Ability to work collaboratively and take direction from the director and other team members.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• A passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of visual storytelling techniques.
• Bachelor's degree in Animation, Illustration, or a related field (preferred).

Working Conditions: As a Storyboard Artist, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, collaborating with a team of creative individuals to bring stories to life. You will be required to work long and irregular hours to meet tight deadlines, especially during production crunch times. The job may also involve some travel to attend meetings and presentations with clients and production partners.
