Salary: $65 Per hour

Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our fast-paced healthcare organization. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently billing insurance companies and patients for medical services rendered. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing procedures and regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify patient information, including demographics and insurance coverage, to ensure accurate billing
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for medical services provided
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit as necessary
• Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts
• Respond to billing inquiries from patients and insurance companies in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain knowledge of current insurance regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance
• Identify and report any coding or billing errors to the appropriate department
• Collaborate with the billing team to resolve any billing issues or discrepancies
• Utilize electronic billing systems and maintain accurate and organized records
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and prepare billing reports as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and billing procedures
• Knowledge of insurance regulations and guidelines, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Proficiency in electronic billing systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
