Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain software configuration management processes, procedures, and tools
Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy of configuration management tasks
Work closely with the development team to understand software build requirements and ensure proper configuration management practices are followed
Manage software versions and releases, including branching, merging, and labeling according to established procedures
Monitor and track changes to software artifacts, ensuring proper version control and traceability
Troubleshoot and resolve configuration management issues, including identifying and resolving conflicts in code and documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of software releases and updates
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of configuration management processes and procedures
Actively participate in code reviews and provide feedback to developers on configuration management best practices
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in configuration management tools and practices, making recommendations for improvement as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in software configuration management, preferably in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies
Proficient in configuration management tools such as Git, SVN, and/or ClearCase
Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins, Puppet, or Ansible
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work
