Position: Infrastructure as Code Specialist

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $190000 - $240000

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure as Code Specialist to join our team. As an Infrastructure as Code Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure as code systems. This includes managing the code for our cloud-based infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure automation, experience with various coding languages, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure as code systems to support our cloud-based infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into infrastructure automation solutions
• Build and maintain deployment pipelines to automate the deployment of infrastructure and applications
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues with infrastructure as code systems, ensuring high availability and performance
• Provide technical expertise and support to other teams, including developers and operations, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of code
• Continuously research and evaluate new tools and technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of infrastructure automation processes
• Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure as code systems and processes
• Participate in on-call rotations to support the infrastructure and respond to any system failures or incidents

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in infrastructure automation and management
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code principles and best practices
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Certifications in infrastructure automation tools and cloud platforms are a plus
