Salary: $95000 - $128000

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Data Center Technician to join our team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the day-to-day operations of our data center. This includes monitoring and maintaining all equipment, troubleshooting any technical issues, and ensuring the overall efficiency and security of the data center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain the physical infrastructure of the data center, including servers, switches, routers, and storage devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise, including hardware and software failures, network connectivity problems, and power outages.
• Install and configure new equipment as needed, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and updating equipment, to ensure the smooth operation of the data center.
• Conduct routine audits and inspections to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement data center policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all data center operations and procedures.
• Monitor and report on data center performance metrics, such as uptime, bandwidth usage, and server utilization.
• Respond to and resolve any data center emergencies in a timely and efficient manner.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for improvements to the data center infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a data center environment.
• Solid understanding of networking and server technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and RAID.
• Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Unix.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with data center equipment, including servers, switches, routers, and storage devices.
• Knowledge of data center management tools and software.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
