Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Backup Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Backup Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud backup solutions. Your primary focus will be to ensure the security, availability, and reliability of our cloud backups, while also continuously improving and optimizing our backup processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, data backup, and disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud backup solutions to ensure the protection and availability of critical data
• Manage and maintain the backup infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network components
• Monitor backup performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
• Develop and maintain backup policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement backup best practices and standards
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery drills to ensure the effectiveness of the backup system
• Identify and recommend improvements to enhance backup performance and reduce costs
• Stay up-to-date with the latest backup technologies and trends and provide recommendations for their implementation
• Document all backup processes, procedures, and configurations
• Provide technical support and guidance to other teams and users on backup-related issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud computing, data backup, and disaster recovery
• Strong experience with cloud backup solutions such as AWS Backup, Azure Backup, or Google Cloud Backup
• Proficient in scripting and automation using languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Experience with backup software, such as Veeam, Commvault, or NetBackup
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Solid understanding of networking and storage concepts
• Familiarity with IT security best practices and compliance requirements
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, are a plus.
