Job Title: Big Data Developer
Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Salary: $107 Per hour
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Big Data Developer to join our team. As a Big Data Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing large-scale data processing systems. You will work closely with our data scientists and analysts to create efficient and accurate solutions to complex data problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing and maintaining big data systems using Hadoop, Spark, and other related technologies.
- Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and design efficient data processing pipelines.
- Building data ingestion and ETL processes to collect, transform and load large volumes of data from various sources.
- Developing and maintaining data warehouses and data lakes to store and organize structured and unstructured data.
- Writing complex SQL queries to extract data from databases and perform data analysis.
- Optimizing data processing and storage for performance and scalability.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data processing and storage.
- Ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the data processing pipeline.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in big data processing and analytics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in big data development.
- Proficient in Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and other big data technologies.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Scala or Python.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
